The Sounds of Summer Tour

It's gonna be an awesome summer night heading to the Jones Beach Theater. The Beach Boys are hosting awesome summer parties, bringing all their hits back to the live stage. Named "The Sounds of Summer", the band is all set to perform their biggest hits and classic faves back on the road. From Surfin' U.S.A. to That's Why God Made the Radio, the boys have a lot to unpack. Performing amidst a hot summer night, it's the perfect vibe to sing & jam along their surf hits.

Founded in 1961, the band originally consisted of the Wilson brothers - Brian, Dennis, and Carl alongside their cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine. Highly regarded as a pioneer of the surf genre, their irresistible harmonies and inventive musical production made them a unique act back in the day. Now, they've achieved legendary status for their great impact and influence in surf, rock, and the industry as a whole. Their album "Pet Sounds" was a defining record, sharing their deep dive into a psychedelic pop sound - recognized as their best work.

In a conversation with The Telegraph, founding member Mike Love shares that the family jamming sesh soon became a full-time legacy, recognizing the challenges and rewards they faced across decades of surf rockin' mayhem.

In 1998, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since then, their legacy had been consistently recognized and raved by critics, magazine, publications, and major awards bodies. In 2023, they received a Grammy Salute, and a star-studded lineup of guests paid tribute and performed their best songs. These include Pentatonix, Brandi Carlile, St. Vincent, and many more.

In May 2024, the band's story was showcased in Frank Marshall's The Beach Boys documentary, out for streaming via Disney+. It was described as "a celebration of the legendary band that revolutionised pop music."

"Touches such as their teenage harmonising and their popular resurgence following 1974’s ‘Endless Summer’ compilation shine through," NME wrote in a review. "We learn that, by getting their family to phone in radio votes for their 1961 debut single ‘Surfin’’, they were arguably one of the first “industry plants”, and much is made of their formative influence on the Californian dream."

The film highlights interviews with Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks and Bruce Johnston with guests Ryan Tedder, Janelle Monae, Don Was, and many more also featured.

As The Sounds of Summer call, it's time to head out for a rockin' celebration. Book your tickets now!
